Final Fantasy VII Remake – New Trailer, Pre-Order Bonuses

Fans awaiting the Final Fantasy VII remake were treated to a brand-new trailer at last nights The Game Awards ceremony.

A gift ahead of the holidays, Square Enix’s latest trailer for the FF7 remake explores protagonist Cloud’s backstory, his connection to the underground eco-terrorist resistance group AVALANCHE, and their struggle to save the planet from the dark clutches of the Shinra Electric Company.

In addition to the new trailer, Square announced that North American players who purchase the pre-order of Final Fantasy VII Remake through GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart, and Amazon can collect some exclusive items. In an interesting twist, these items are unique to each of the four major retailers, so gamers may wish to consider what item they will receive when determining which retailer to purchase from.

Pre-orders of the Standard and Deluxe Editions through GameStop/EB Games will earn players an exclusive Shinra Key Card and collectible tin box.

Fans who choose to pre-order the Deluxe Edition from Best Buy can claim an exclusive bundle featuring the Deluxe Edition of Final Fantasy VII Remake along with additional merchandise including a canvas pouch and metallic stickers for USD $99.99.

Pre-ordering the Standard Edition of the game through Walmart’s US or Canadian websites gives players three double-sided art cards.

Gamers who pre-order the Deluxe Edition through Amazon will get a PlayStation Network dynamic theme utilizing key art for Sephiroth.

The Final Fantasy VII remake is scheduled for release on March 3, 2020, exclusively for the PlayStation 4 console. The game will remain PlayStation exclusive for a year after its release, making its way to other platforms in 2021.
