Final Fantasy VII Remake Confirmed For Jump Festa

Square Enix has confirmed they will be present at this year’s Jump Festa in Japan, where they will release new trailers for Final Fantasy VII: Remake and Trials of Mana.

As reported by gamingbolt, FFVII: Remake and Trials of Mana won’t be the only games Square Enix shows off at the event. Several mobile titles are scheduled for showcase, such as Dragon Quest of the Stars and Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. In addition, fans can look forward to an additional new trailer for highly-anticipated Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition, which is scheduled for release in January 2020.

A couple weeks ago, a post on the US PlayStation blog offered fans a glimpse at some new screenshots for Final Fantasy VII: Remake, as well as some details regarding the new battle system coming to the game. Screenshots highlighted include active combat, Cloud’s operator and punisher mode combat styles, the adorable and fluffy Choco/Mog summon, and equally adorable AVALANCHE member Jesse.

Square Enix will be joined at Jump Festa by Capcom, who is rumored to potentially exhibit two as of yet unpublished and/or unannounced games. On November 30, Gaming Instincts reported on a leak from a well-known Japanese leaker who gathers information from the Weekly Famitsu and Dengeki PlayStation magazines. While the leak didn’t say for sure what these two games are, it did speculate that one of them will be the Devil May Cry Triple Pack for Japanese owners of the Nintendo Switch. As for the second title, now that Resident Evil 3 has been confirmed through leaked PSN images, it’s highly likely that it will be the second title shown at Jump Festa.

Jump Festa takes place in Chiba, Japan, December 21-22, 2019.
