The price reveal of Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Sony PlayStation is something that has been kept with heavy secrecy, this might suggest that both companies might have not decided the price of their respective next-gen console.
Most analysts have predicted that fans will need to spend around USD 500 to acquire a next-gen console, there is also the possibility that there is a cat-and-mouse strategy in which Xbox is waiting for PlayStation to announce the price reveal of PS5 just to announce and reveal Xbox Series S, a console capable of next-gen gaming and rumored to be sold around USD 499. It’s is also speculated that is in fact, PlayStation who is waiting for team green to announce Series X price to determine the best price for PS5.
Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter, forecast that the next-gen Xbox will cost 400 USD at launch, PlayStation is aiming at a 500 USD price.

If Patcher’s analysis is correct, Xbox will beat PlayStation at price with Series S. Series X will be the most powerful console and will maintain a competitive price with PS5.
