Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization details Blacksmith and Town of Beginning

Bandai Namco has revealed new screenshots and a new English trailer for the upcoming action-RPG Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization, introducing the blacksmith, new places from the Town of the Beginning and the game’s Season Pass.

In Hollow Realization, you’ll be able to visit the Blacksmith in Ainground, with each craftsman possessing unique forge skills and abilities to improve your weapons or strengthen equipment. The higher the level of the improvement, the harder it will be to perform. In the Town of the Beginning, you’ll also be able to travel to other locations via gates.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization is due out for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on October 27 in Japan, and November 8 in North America and Europe. In North America, the PS Vita release will be digital-only.

“Downloadable Content

Both free and paid downloadable content are planned after Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization is released.

Free downloadable content includes additional quests and missions, etc.

Paid downloadable content includes the “Shrine Maiden of the Abyss” (title tentative) story, which is different from the main story will be told across three additional episodes launching in 2017.

In Japan, the episodes will also be available in a Season Pass. While specifics have yet to be announced for North America and Europe, the three additional episodes are likely part of the leaked Season Pass.”
