Mortal Kombat 11 Had Over 35K Cocurrent Players on Steam at Launch

If you’re asked about the fighting hit of this year, the answer couldn’t be something other than Nether Realm’s Mortal Kombat 11. Four years after the tenth main installment of the franchise, now the latest entry for the series has been available for more than 10 days, and new statistics are pointing out great reception of fans and gamers that make Mortal Kombat 11 to experience best launch in the whole series and have the largest community among all the entries of the IP on Steam at launch.

According to GitHyp, Mortal Kombat 11 has reached more than 35K co-current players at launch, and when you compare it to that of Mortal Kombat X 14K players back in 2015, Nether Realm’s success shows off itself more than ever. The new title also does better than the studio’s Injustice 2 which owned 1.8K co-current players at launch. However, when it comes to competing with other fighting series, Dragon Ball FighterZ rules the steam with its 44K co-current players that’s still an unbroken record for the genre.

Mortal Kombat 11 is also released on Switch to create a bigger community at launch, but it couldn’t beat out Days Gone in UK Sales Chart, which was only available for PS4 and achieved a great winning against MK11’s released on 4 top consoles.
