IO Interactive Announces New Studio in Barcelona

IO Interactive, the studio behind the upcoming Project 007 game announced the opening of a new studio in Barcelona, Spain. IOI Barcelona is just one part of the company’s “ambitious and exciting plans for expansion over the coming years”.

Establishing IOI Barcelona is an integral part of IO Interactive’s plans for the coming years. With more to come from the Hitman universe, developing and publishing the first James Bond origin story and a brand new IP in active development, the future for IO Interactive is as exciting as it has ever been.

IOI Barcelona will be assisting IOI Malmö and IOI Copenhagen with Hitman 3‘s upcoming seasonal updates as well as the highly-anticipated Project 007. IO Interactive affirms that all three studios are elite studios that are expected to make a significant impact on ongoing development and publishing efforts across all projects.

Project 007 is being developed  In collaboration with MGM, EON Productions, and Delphi, the game features a wholly original Bond story and will see players earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story. Project 007 will be powered by IO Interactive’s proprietary Glacier technology and will be available for “modern systems and platforms”.
