Sony has shared the latest news about the upcoming PS4 and PS5 games in today’s State of Play. The biggest surprise of the event was the new DLC for Final Fantasy VII Remake which adds a new story and Yuffie as a playable character. Sony failed to share more information on games like Horizon: Forbidden West, and Gran Turismo 7.

Several games like Kena: Bridge of Spirits and Oddworld: Soulstorm looked pretty good on their respective trailers, all the games showcased today are scheduled to be released later this year. Here’s the latest on all 10 of the games shown during the presentation.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time gets native 4K-60 FPS, improved audio and visuals, faster load times, and more.

Taking full advantage of the PlayStation 5 hardware, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time presents Crash at its platforming best, starting with support for native 4K targeting 60 FPS and enhanced 3D audio and extended gameplay features on the DualSense controller. Using the controller’s adaptive triggers, players will feel the force of Neo Cortex’s DNA-changing blaster, the grip of Tawna’s Hookshot, the power of Crash’s Jetboard, and much more.

Returnal gets an in-depth look

Returnal’s gameplay is a relentless and fast-paced shooter, the developers at Housemarque confirmed the game’s launch on April 30 for the PlayStation 5. Here is the studio’s official statement shared on a blog post:

We are so excited to have the privilege of Returnal featuring in a State of Play, getting to really dive deeper into the game, and taking in some intricate details.

As a fresher component to a Housemarque game, the State of Play also touches upon the ways we create a tangible atmosphere, where you’ll piece together the story’s mysteries. We recently shared a bit more about the world of Returnal in our “Atropos” video (check it out here if you missed it). The narrative is a big part of the Returnal experience, though we’re telling that story in some subtle ways: You’ll encounter voice logs and glimpses of different realities on your journey, without distracting you from the bullet hell action of the main game. This all adds up to a layered and personal story that we can’t wait to have you get stuck into – especially the playable sequences which you’ll learn more about very soon…

Inspired by our passion for Kung Fu, and martial arts movies in general, we decided to focus on a single-player experience to build an immersive adventure featuring deep and challenging gameplay.
