Control: The Foundation Expansion Released For Xbox

Control’s expansion ‘The Foundation’ has been released on Xbox One, it has already been released in March for PC and PlayStation 4 as a timed-exclusive. Fans can expect 4-5 hours of extra gameplay added to Control.

“The Foundation will delve into the history of the Oldest House. At the request of the ever-mysterious Board, Jesse must explore what lies beneath the Bureau as she returns order to the Foundation and the Oldest House itself. Expect things to get weird.”

Fans of Control can purchase ‘The Foundation’ by itself for $14.99, or purchase the expansion pass which is priced at $24.99 on the Xbox Store. Those who purchase the expansion pass will also get access to the ‘AWE’ expansion, coming later this year.

Those who purchase ‘The Foundation’ will unlock a brand new area of the Bureau, and will be able to unlock new weapons and collectibles. Jesse will also be able to utilise a new skill.

“The new skill available to you in The Foundation is Shape. Shape has two forms, Create and Fracture. You can use this skill only as part of The Foundation expansion, and with it Jesse can manipulate and destroy certain parts of the environment in the Foundation to her advantage. Depending what path you take in the flow of the expansion, you can choose which part of the skill (Create or Fracture) you get first.”

Developers Remedy Entertainment also developed Quantum Break for Xbox One and PC in 2016, another science-fiction action game. Both Control and Quantum Break received favourable ratings from critics.

Remedy Entertainment has also confirmed that Control will be made available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in the coming future.

To gain access to the contents of ‘The Foundation’, players must finish the main campaign, as the expansion takes place after.
