Call of Duty: Mobile is Google Play’s Best Game of 2019

Google Play has announced its list of video game award-winners for 2019, and Call of Duty: Mobile takes home the golden honor of being named Best Game of the Year.

With over 50 million downloads and an almost five-star ranking across an impressive six million reviews, Call of Duty: Mobile reigns supreme on the Android app store, which states that “The Best Game of 2019 should be fun, accessible, and deliver compelling gameplay that’s a blast to play.” It then goes on to describe the game as not only “the best shooter on mobile,” but “hands-down the best game of 2019.”

Google Play didn’t stop at merely naming the Best Game of the Year, of course, and has also awarded distinctions to multiple games in several other categories. For the first time this year, fans were invited to vote for their favorite title in the User’s Choice category, and awards were also issued for other best-in-categories: Best Competitive, Best Indie, Best Casual, and Best Innovative. Interested readers can check out a listing of Google Play’s winners for each category below (in alphabetical order), and head over to the official site for additional details.
