Babylon's Fall

Babylon’s Fall PC Beta Test Dated

Games that signed up to get an early first look at the upcoming live-service game being developed by Platinum Games and published by Square Enix do not have much longer to wait. On Sunday, Platinum outlined multiple things players needed to know about the upcoming Beta for Babylon’s Fall, including when to expect it. This initial test will take place on separate days for Japan, North America, and Europe.

Japan will be the first to get the test, taking place on Thursday, July 29 from 3 am to 6 am PT. North America will be the next to receive a beta which will be live Thursday, August 5 from 6 pm to 10 pm PT. Finally, Europe will be the last to receive the beta, with it going live Thursday, August 12 between 6 pm to 10 pm UK, 7 pm to 11 pm CEST.

Gamers who signed up for the closed Betas can expect to receive an invite from Square Enix soon. It should be noted that those invites will be based on the region associated with your Square Enix account, so make sure it is in order.

This initial beta is set to focus heavily on fundamental aspects of the overall experience. These will include the downloading and installing of the client, registration and account authentication, as well as early server and network tests.

Due to the focus of this test being more network-focused players can expect the content in-game to be limited. Platinum has stated that players can expect a lot of content to repeat. The developer plans to slowly unlock more content as these beta tests continue. Sharing screenshots will also be blocked during this beta though that two of the developer claims will be relaxed at some point moving forward

The game remained relatively quiet, only resurfacing this year during Square Enix’s E3 conference. While suggested prior that it MIGHT be a live-service title, it was during this show that it was confirmed.
