THQ Nordic To Announce Six New Games

Hot on the heels of other announcements such as the PlayStation Showcase, and the Tokyo Game Show Schedule, THQ Nordic has announced that there will be holding their own event. In celebration of the companies 10 year anniversary, they will be giving people a look toward the future of the company.

They will be holding the event a week after the PlayStation Showcase on  September 17 as a digital event. The company has also promised it will showcase six new game titles during the course of the stream. Among these games will be revivals to “legendary franchises,” some of which have been dormant for decades.

Besides the new games and long-dormant games returning, the company has also promised a few sequels in the mix as well. They stated that “beloved games” will be returning and will be showcased during their stream. What these games remain to be seen but popular franchises under THQ Nordic include Darksiders, Mx vs. ATV, De Blob, and Kingdoms of Amalur just to name a few.

There are two games that we know for a fact will be present during the show. The first is RPG Elex II which was announced earlier this year and will continue the story of the first game in the series. The other is Expeditions: Rome, which is a strategy-RPG game.

Besides the main show, they also confirmed that there will be a pre-show featuring HandyGames. Taking on hosting duties is who else but Geoff Keighley, who also hosted an opening night for E3 and Gamescom, as well as his award show, The Video Game Awards, later in the year.

The THQ Nordic live stream event is scheduled to starts at 3PM ET on September 17th. You can watch it on all THQ Nordic channels on YouTubeTwitch and Steam.
