Deck 13, the team behind titles like Lords of the Fallen and The Surge, is now working on its next project which is another hardcore action RPG. The Surge 2 is promised to be a successful sequel for the first entry of the series by addressing all the issues and implying some meaningful improvements to deliver an enjoyable gameplay.
Recently, the development team has shared a new gameplay trailer which somehow made me to really like the game and look forward to have it on my platform. The trailer shows-off the game’s violent and hardcore combats, reminding me of a futuristic Dark Souls. The upgrade system and character creation seem to have a dozens of options as you can spot lots of different outfits and weapons for your character during the trailer. Also, we get to see some brutal scenes from the character’s finishers and the dismemberment system which allows you to choose the body limb that you want to damage most and take its gears. Previously, we’ve received a lengthy gameplay footage of The Surge 2, which represents an epic fight against one of the bosses, while showing new features such as the companion drone.
The Surge 2 is set to be released on September 24 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
