The reboot of the coveted weapons based fighter Samurai Shodown is closing in, and veteran developers SNK are continuously giving fans a closer look at the characters appearing in the new game. The latest trailer shows off the series’ main character and face of the franchise, Haohmaru.

Haoumaru uses his legendary katana and slices his way through his opponent utilizing a plethora of iconic moves. SNK has also revealed plenty of other characters a part of the reboots roster, including Nakoruru, Shiki, Ukyo Tachibana, Darli Dagger, Charlotte and most recently Genjuro.
SNK has also revealed that four more characters will be added to the roster of 16 fighters as post-launch DLC, evening out the selection to 20 characters. Old-school fans of the series will also see a NeoGeo Collection release of Samurai Shodown later this fall.
Samurai Shodown is set to release in the west on June 25, 2019 for the PS4 and Xbox One. A Switch and PC version of the reboot is expected to release in Q4 of 2019.
