PUBG Season 5 Is Now Live, Details

PUBG Corporation has released their latest update, Season 5 and Survivor Pass: Badlands to live servers.

Season 5 features improvements to Miramar such as updated loot, map objects, terrain, and a new built-in 2.7x scope on the map-themed Win94 repeater rifle.

Players in need of ammo or meds can now request them from a teammate through the radio message system. This allows teammates to toss needed supplies up to 15 meters, and gamers are now able to hurl melee weapons at their enemies as well, whether in early-game skirmishes or to score a stylish and humiliating kill.

In addition to the gameplay updates, the Survivor Pass is back with new rewards, missions, and improved systems. The Survivor Pass: Badlands rewards players with outfits and weapon skins themed around the harsh desert and its former inhabitants. Remember, gamers: when slaughtering one’s enemies, it is most important to look good in the process.

Additionally, players can also dive into the history of Miramar for the first time, unlocking clips of the Season 5 story trailer together as a community by collecting data discs that spawn as loot across the battlegrounds.

Officially launched on December 20, 2017, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is an online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of South Korean video game company Bluehole. Based on previous mods created by Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Green for other games and inspired by the 2000 Japanese film Battle Royale. PUBG expanded to a standalone game under Greene’s creative direction.

PUBG’s Update 5.1 is now live on PC servers and launches on console Oct. 29. Interested readers can check out the Season 5 gameplay trailer below.
