PUBG Mobile Stomping Cheaters Into The Ground

PUBG Mobile, one of the world’s most popular mobile games, is getting new methods for promoting fair gameplay.

Since PUBG Mobile launched in 2018, its security team has mandated and enforced a zero-tolerance policy toward cheating. Today, PUBG Mobile developers revealed further insight into the game’s existing cheat detection efforts and what further initiatives are currently in development.

Focused on creating an enjoyable and fair gameplay experience, PUBG Mobile devs offered insight into the constant measures taken to boot hackers and cheaters from the game. The first line of defense is PUBG Mobile’s system of detection software, able to scan for suspect software and modified game data. As hacking and cheating methods constantly evolve, the game employs a massive, ever-expanding library from which to cross-reference as it detects suspicious software.

Not stopping there, the security team also utilizes game observation to monitor players who have been reported through the game’s system. Hands-on observation ensures only players who are actually using cheat software or other means of bucking the system in order to gain an unfair advantage are banned. PUBG Mobile’s security team will efficiently observe gameplay, differentiating between the use of cheats and player skill, as well as odd occurrences due to lag or packet loss.

“We want players to know that we are 100% committed to providing a fair gameplay experience for everyone,” said Vincent Wang, General Manager of Global Publishing Department from Tencent Games. “We take enormous pride in the game we work on every day, and cheaters cheapen all of our work. We’re doing everything possible to keep cheaters out of our game as much as possible, and hundreds of team members are dedicated to this task.”

Committed to punishing cheaters with great alacrity, PUBG Mobile developers are able to enforce player bans in real time. Combining the detection software, observation, and player reports, they will swiftly remove cheaters even mid-match if necessary so as to maintain a positive and fair gaming experience for everyone.

PUBG Mobile has garnered over 400 million players since its release, making it one of the world’s most popular mobile titles. Players can download PUBG Mobile for free on iOS and Android devices.
