Nintendo Reportedly Tell Developers to Get Ready for Switch Pro – Rumor

According to Bloomberg, Nintendo has informed its third-party development partners to produce future games on 4K. This information adds more speculation about a potential Switch Pro launching in 2021. A more powerful revision of the Nintendo Switch might use NVIDIA’s DLSS, a technique that uses AI to upscale games to higher resolutions.

Bloomberg also reported that Nintendo has told its manufacturing partners to increase the production of new Switch consoles, the aim is to reach 30 million units before the end of the current fiscal year.

In recent weeks, reports from Economic Daily News also suggested that Nintendo Switch Pro will launch in Q1 2021. The new console is expected to be more interactive and will feature a new display.

The Wall Street Journal affirmed in 2019, that the Japanese tech giant was planning a hardware revision with “enhanced featured targeted at avid gamers”, another respectable news site, The Financial Times, pointed at Nintendo’s need to catch up with the next-gen consoles.

The Switch, three years old in March, is teetering on the brink of becoming outdated. Rivals are launching smartphones and new consoles with the latest features, while cloud gaming poses challenges to the sector.

In April 2020 engineer Mike Heskin found in Nintendo Switch’s Ver. 10.0.0 a new “nx-abcd” hardware model. The intriguing code was the third line of software for a Switch console, having already mentioned the original Switch and its Lite version.

Perhaps the clearest indication of the Nintendo Switch Pro comes via confirmation from Suikoden’s Producer, Writer, and Director Yoshitaka Murayama. the veteran affirmed in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes‘ Kickstarter campaign that its new RPG will launch for next-gen devices, PS5, Xbox Series X, and a next-gen Switch in 2022.
