The drastic increase in RAM costs over the past few months, driven by the growing demand for AI data centers and resulting shortages, has raised concerns among tech companies about the impact on console manufacturing. If these trends continue, it’s likely that future consoles will face significant price hikes. However, delaying the release could allow time for stock levels to improve and prices to drop. In a past video, Youtuber Moore’s Law is Dead claimed that the upcoming PlayStation 6 console will launch alongside a portable handheld version that will be dockable to an external display similar to a Nintendo Switch. The console will allegedly be capable of running games at a level beyond the base PlayStation 5. The console is codenamed “Canis”, and will reportedly have an AMD APU GPU for Zen 6c Cores with two additional cores for system tasks.
