New Nintendo Direct Dedicated To Pokemon Sword & Shield Taking Place Before E3

Nintendo has announced that a new Nintendo Direct will be taking place less than a week before their E3 Direct showcase. The June 5, 2019 Direct will focus solely on the upcoming Pokemon Sword & Shield releases which are planned to launch at the end of this year.

Nintendo will also air their E3 Direct on June 11, 2019 which should cover a much larger base of upcoming titles, hopefully including Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Astral Chain, Town, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Animal Crossing – which are all expected to release in 2019 alongside the new Pokemon generation.

Nintendo will showcase the Sword & Shield Direct on June 5, 2019 at 6AM PT/9AM PT. The Direct will last for around 15 minutes so expect in-depth gameplay coverage and a potential release date for the series.
