Hyper Gods Announced for Steam

It was announced by the Porto,Portugal based studio Ground Control Studios, that the competitive arcade space dog-fighting game Hyper Gods will be released for Steam.

According to the developer, the game’s plot revolves around a God being reborn and keen on fulfilling the prophecy of the Armageddon. The Ground Control team will then give players the technology to capture a God and destroy Her once and for all.

Check out the announcement trailer of Hyper Gods, featuring some gameplay action:

“Equipped with the hyper-lasso and hyper-handbrake on lightning fast space fighters, players will embark on a journey in and out of hyperspace to become the first mercenary to successfully hold off the End of Days.

“We’re going for sense of speed and urgency above all. It’s kind of like Quidditch in space… with lasers.” says the lead-game designer Pedro Ribeiro.

The developer chose to distribute the game using the Early Access option, since it is a direct channel for building a community and gathering player input. The main focus will be improving the multiplayer component of the game, so the priority of the release will reside in ensuring that all ships and mechanics are well balanced and fair. The community will play a key-role in helping to establish this, by providing input and feedback to help the developer deliver a fun, rewarding experience.

The game will be available on Steam by late Q3 or early Q4 2016, with press demos and teasers rolling out before the final release. and on Xbox One around Q1 2017.

Hyper Gods its the name of the competitive arcade space dog-fightning game that will make players collaborate in one moment and compete on the next. The game is centered on multi-player battles, both local and online, but will also offer a set of competitive single player experiences. The first release will occur on Steam either on the late Q3 or early Q4 2016. Second release is slated for Xbox One during Q1 2017.”
