Halo Infinite Head of Creative Joseph Staten Leaves Microsoft

Halo Infinite’s head of creative and writer and cinematic director for Halo 2, Halo 3, and Combat Evolved Joseph Staten announced on Twitter that he will be leaving Microsoft. A reason was not given but Staten stated that he will “have more info to share soon.” Halo Infinite launched on December 8, 2021 and  is available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

His tweet reads:

“Hey folks, I am indeed leaving Microsoft. I’ll have more info to share soon, but for now, I’d just like to thank all my Xbox colleagues for all their understanding and support as I embark on a new adventure.”

 

Microsoft also confirmed his departure via a spokesperson who said:

“We’re grateful for Joseph’s contributions to the Halo franchise and Xbox as a whole. We wish him all the best in his new adventure.”
