If you’re into racing games, Gran Turismo needs no introduction. Ever since it landed on the original PlayStation almost 20 years ago, Gran Turismo has earned a reputation as being one of the best racing games around. Now, Gran Turismo is finally coming to the PS4 in the form of GT Sport, and it’s got to be one of the most ambitious, exciting racing games ever made. At an event in London last week, Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi promised that “GT Sport is going to be offering a level of innovation that hasn’t been seen since the first Gran Turismo.” After hearing more about Gran Turismo Sport – and playing it for a few hours, it sounds like he might be right.
GT Sport has all the cars and tracks, but there’s so much more than car racing here: From cool social elements to a ‘virtual automotive museum’ and two FIA-approved racing championships, Gran Turismo Sport doesn’t want to emulate racing – it wants to exist alongside it.
Check out the Trailer:
“The PlayStation 4 racing game is “built from the ground up” to bring global, online competitions sanctioned by the Federation International Automobile. Players will compete for their home country or favorite manufacturers through multiple race classes, including “GT3,” “Prototype,” “Rally,” and more.”
