eGames Rio de Janeiro Showcase Schedule Confirmed

Later today it will begin the Games Showcase, and the players are making their final preparations ahead at British House in the historic Parque Lage in Rio De Janeiro and thanks  to a partnership with Twitch, fans won’t miss a single Gank or Combo as all eGames matches will be streamed live.

“The Rio de Janeiro eGames Showcase 2016 will take place at British House, Parque Lage in Rio de Janeiro on the 15th and 16th of August.

The showcase will feature some of the leading eSports personalities in the world taking part in a showcase of SMITE and a full international Super Smash Bros. tournament.

The venue, British House, will celebrate the best of London and the UK during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, from its sporting excellence to its business and culture.”

“Monday August 15 – SMITE Invitational

Two Brazilian teams will step into the battlegrounds of the Gods and look to take down their opponent’s Titan.

“Tuesday August 16 – Super Smash Bros Tournament

Eight top players from across the globe will go head to head in a double elimination tournament, with only one taking Gold. They are:

Launched on April 6th 2016 as part of the London Games Festival, the eGames is an international eSports competitive video gaming tournament where national pride is the prize. The IEGC is a not for profit initiative, and has been set up with the aim of positively shaping the future of competitive gaming . The UK Government is supportive of the ambitions of the IEGC.
