Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen Story Trailer Unveiled

Bungie released today a story trailer that teases the adventures that await Guardians in Destiny 2: Beyond Light Season of the Chosen.

Starting next week, Season of the Chosen introduces a new strike, a new game mode, and the return of vaulted content, players can expect new gear, more experience, and new rewards.

With the Pyramids and Xivu Arath destabilizing the system, Empress Caiatl, leader of the Cabal and daughter of Calus, seeks an alliance. But when she demands more than Zavala can offer, negotiations collapse, and Guardians must become the tip of the spear that strikes at her growing war council.

The 13th seasonal update for Destiny 2 introduces a new game mode called  Battlegrounds, a three player co-op activity where players “will engage in ritual combat” against the warriors of the Cabal. Devil’s Lair and Fallen S.A.B.E.R. are returning at the start of the season. A new strike called Proving Grounds will arrive post-launch, the strike will “determine the fate of the Last City.”

Bungie recently confirmed what is the new gear arriving on February 9, season pass owners will get instant access to the Praefectus armor set and Ticuu’s Divination, an Exotic bow that loads up a bunch of seeking arrows that can take out several targets at once. Completing the new sets, two dozen other legendary, and ritual weapons from the Forsaken and Shadowkeep expansion will be coming back.

  • Expanding Lost Sector Legend and Master rotation to 4 Moon Sectors.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light Season of the Chosen will officially begin on February 9, on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
