Control Won’t Feature Photo Mode at Launch

The next big hit in the video game industry is Remedy’s Control, which is set to be launched later this month. On top of everything, we expect a mesmerizing story-telling and enjoyable gameplay from Sam Lake and his team at Finland. However, the studio has previously informed us about its post launch plan on the game including story-driven DLCs. Recently, it’s been announced that Photo Mode is also part of Control’s post-launch plan.

Speaking to IGN, Mikael Kasurinen, creative director, revealed more information on Remedy’s supporting plan for Control, which includes Photo Mode but excludes New Game Plus. According to Kasurinen, there is going to be no survival and new game plus modes for Control after launch and players shouldn’t consider any event-based challenges or additions to the game. However, Control will have its own kind of modes that fits into its world. Kasurinen said:

There are no challenge or survival modes, but let’s see what we’ll do post-launch. Our team is really small so we have to carefully choose what we do. Whatever alternate games mode we could do, they’d have to fit into the world of Control.

There are features in the game like ‘Bureau Alerts,’ which pop up from time to time requiring the player to go to a certain area of the Oldest House and clear Hiss or fight a mini-boss in a certain time. The Director’s help is always required throughout the Oldest House.

In Control, players enter to the Oldest House as one of its former employees, Jesse Faden. The game is a third person shooter featuring supernatural elements and Twin-Peaks-inspired atmosphere. Previously, it’s been confirmed that Control will have two post-launch DLCs. Wait for its launch until August 27. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
