Atlus Confirms Persona 5 R for PS4

Atlus has confirmed Persona 5 via a trailer uploaded in its website, not many details were shared but they will surely offer more information on March 2019. This trailer follows months of rumors after the developer registered its website domain two years ago.

The trailer only shows a city in Japan with Joker making the announcement, a date is shared 2019.3, it means March 2019, no characters or gameplay is displayed but don’t let that stop you take a look at the teaser trailer.

Check the trailer here:

The translation of what’s said in the trailer goes down like this:

I hope you are well, this is Joker. As the year ends there voices speaking out awaiting our next move grow louder. However we are closing the curtain for this year. March 2019. We look forward to seeing you again ladies and gentleman. Until then, you’ll just have to wait. Happy new year.”(credits to Gekkoi!)

We have some time to guess what this title could be about, my guess is a remaster of Persona 5 with 4k graphics, but this could also means a sequel and why not, some users even claim that the “R” in the title may mean racing, any opinion is well received in the comment section down below.

Persona 5 is the sixth game in the Persona series. It is a role-playing game developed by Atlus’ P-Studio.

Persona 5 is a fantasy based on reality which follows a group of troubled high school students: the protagonist and a collection of compatriots he meets. These disturbed and troubled teenagers gradually realize that they are living in a toxic and dangerous world resembling a prison full of slavery, oppression and injustice, ruled by corrupted and twisted adults. They can’t live with the system and can’t live without it, and simply existing means they are at risk of being doomed and condemned to a life of slavery.
