Alan Wake Remastered Could Arrive Next Month – Rumor

According to a new store listing the rumored Alan Wake Remastered could arrive early next month. This has been something that has been suggested might happen, since Remedy purchased the rights for Alan Wake from Microsoft after their split, shortly before the release of their last major game Control.

Disclaimer – This information has not been verified, therefore this is not factual.

Back in June Alan Wake Remastered appeared alongside Final Fantasy 7 Remake in the backend data of Epic Games Store. This suggested it would only be a matter of time before both games appeared on the service. Since then, however, we have heard very little pertaining to either game. Now, a little over two months later, we have got our first look at some confirmation of Alan Wake as listings for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox versions of the game have appeared on the Taiwanese site, Rakuten Taiwan. This information was found thanks to Wario64.

The listings in question are no longer available, however, several users have verified that they were able to travel to these pages before they were taken down. Industry Analyst Daniel Ahmed also commented on Wario64’s post, stating that it “Will be announced next week.”

This timeframe seems to coincide with a PlayStation Showcase is scheduled for that timeframe as well which might suggest that is when we can expect official word. This will be the first time Alan Wake appears on a PlayStation console, and Remedy has had a good relationship with Sony recently as they choose to announce Control on their E3 stage. Not to mention Creative Director of Remedy and one time Max Payne, Sam Lake, appeared in the PlayStation exclusive Death Stranding.

This could also simply be a coincidence as the game could simply be announced during this week at some random point. Either way, if the date for release is to believe at October 5 it would behoove them to announce it sooner rather than later.
