Xbox Now Offers Refunds for Cyberpunk 2077

Following the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077, PlayStation and Xbox are now offering refunds for all digital versions of the game.

PlayStation decided to remove the game from the PlayStation Store until further notice, Xbox will be avoiding to remove the game from their store according to the latest statement from Xbox Support.

Here is the official statement from Xbox:

Cyberpunk 2077: To ensure that every player can get the experience they expect on Xbox, we will be expanding our existing refund policy to offer full refunds to anyone who purchased Cyberpunk 2077 digitally from the Microsoft Store, until further notice.

While we know the developers at CD PROJEKT RED have worked hard to ship Cyberpunk 2077 in extremely challenging circumstances, we also realize that some players have been unhappy with the current experience on older consoles.

To date, we have granted refunds to the vast majority of customers who have requested one. To request an Xbox refund for Cyberpunk 2077, please follow the steps listed on our Xbox refund page

Bloomberg‘s Jason Schreier recently revealed that the studio is on the verge of a rebellion, the journalist explains that the development team was noticeably “frustrated and angry” during an internal video meeting with the management in which they demanded answers to the hierarchy of the studio.

Xbox is avoiding to remove the broken game from the Xbox platform. Meanwhile, CD Projekt Red promises to fix the bugs, glitches, and performance issues in future updates, however, the reputation of the studio has sunk and it seems like the management is just adding more weight to the shoulders of developers who now have an immense task to optimize Cyberpunk 2077 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
