Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Wolfenstein: Youngblood Gameplay Hours are More Than The Series’ Previous Titles

Bethesda’s line-up for first person shooter titles this year is crazy rich, with Rage 2 coming out just 3 day later and Wolfenstein: Youngblood being available in July. Both games are from franchises that have proved their solid performance in delivering a fast-paced combat-focused gameplay already. However, both of them are going to expand in case of gameplay features, and while the results of these changes for Rage 2 will be revealed in less than a week, Wolfenstein: Youngblood still needs further explanations from the developers and that’s what Machine Games did recently on Reddit.

While Jerk Gustafsson from Machine Games was answering to the community’s questions in a post on Reddit, one of the users asked about the hours of gameplay for new spin-off for Wolfenstein franchise and while the answer didn’t provide a specific number for that, it did reveal some interesting details on the game and its differences with the previous titles of the series. Gustafsson said:

Youngblood is different than our previous titles in many ways. Player progression is level-based and the game structure is non-linear, which means the experience is player directed in a way that we’ve never done before where players will be able to perform missions in any order they please.

And while the storyline/campaign may be a bit lighter than New Order/New Colossus, the total gameplay time of Youngblood will exceed those titles.

While it took players to complete Wolfenstein: The New Order in 24 hours and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus in 32 hours, its interesting that Youngblood will even deliver more contents than the two main titles, considering that it’s just a spin-off for the series.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood will be launching on July 26 for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
