Upcoming Platformer ‘Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair’ Releasing This October

Developer Playtonic has revealed that their upcoming platforming sequel, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, will be arriving this coming October. The new sequel was just recently announced earlier this year in June, leaving fans a delightfully small window between the announcement and the official release date.

The new sequel will combine the 2.5D platforming style during the main levels along with the overhead design during the overworld level-select areas. We’ve also received a look at various alternate level states which shows off different versions of the same level which are triggered by activating specific actions in the overworld areas.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair will land on the PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC on an unannounced date this coming October.
