10. Carmilla’s Thorn

Carmilla’s Thorn is an early game one-handed blade that players can purchase from Jadwiga. It has better damage and scaling than basic swords, and it’s solid for dexterity-style builds. Despite this, it still can’t compete with larger weapons’ burst potential in the late game.

9. Ancient Hunter’s Greatsword

This is a massive two-handed blade that delivers powerful, sweeping strikes. It has a long reach and is great for staggering bosses and even large enemies. It notably doesn’t have any notable special weapon skill, but is a rewarding weapon once you get its rhythm. The only drawback is its slow speed and heavy stamina use.

8. Ancient Hunter’s Twin Blades

Despite being an early weapon, these dual blades are best for fast striking and mobility. It lets players weave in and out, dealing damage and minimising damage taken. They’re great for speed and combos, but they lack the raw damage and crowd control of the heavier weapons. However, the weapon’s special move is incredibly fun, fast, and effective at dealing damage, but it can also put you in danger of taking damage while staying in one position. Overall, the weapon is fun for aggressive players but niche compared to more versatile weapons.

7. Ancient Hunter’s Rune Blades

The Ancient Hunter’s Rune Blades represent the new Rune Blade class, which are unique floating swords powered by Formae abilities rather than traditional handling. Not only are they cool-looking weapons, but they also enhance your attacks and extend range, as these blades combine acrobatic moves with support-style moves for their unique weapon ability. This makes the weapon especially appealing to players who enjoy hybrid or magical builds. However, compared to other weapons, they could take some time to learn or get used to.

6. Tainted Sword

The Tainted Sword offers higher base damage and scaling than most early swords, rewarding players who invest in strength or dex builds. Its power makes it a strong weapon players can invest in before acquiring the heavy-hitting weapons as they progress through the game, making it one of the most balanced, sufficient, and satisfying weapons in the game, but nothing more.

5. Silver Shot Bayonet

One of the best bayonets players will run into in Code Vein II. This bayonet blends both melee attacks and ranged attacks through gunfire. It lets players switch between quick blade strikes and gunfire, so they can adapt to close and mid-range fights without changing gear. It makes the Silver Shot Bayonet especially useful for players who like to poke from a distance, then close in to finish combos. Its special attack is also unique and effective, but its main drawback is having to constantly reload the weapon for ranged attacks.

4. The Tainted Bayonet

The Tainted Bayonet is a Bayonet weapon that blends melee stabs with short-range firepower. Bayonets switch between quick blade strikes and gunfire, letting you adapt between close and mid-range engagements without changing gear. This makes the Tainted Bayonet especially useful for players who like to poke from a distance then close in to finish combos, and its flexibility pairs well with Forma setups that boost both melee and ranged attacks.

3.Twin Fangs of the Lone Wolf

Twin Fangs of the Lone Wolf is a set of Twin Blades. It is a fast, dual-weapon type that lets you unleash rapid combos and build up wounds quickly on enemies. They’re especially effective in aggressive builds that prioritize mobility and frequent Drain Attacks.

2. Impaler

The Impaler halberd blends reach, quick thrusts, and good combos. Its mid-range lets players control crowds but with safer spacing than swords. It also has excellent synergy with weapon Formae that boost wound buildup, making it a versatile and high-impact choice, especially once you upgrade it properly.

1. Ameno Habakiri Greatsword

The Ame-no-Habakiri Greatsword is one of the best bleed weapons in the game. It is a heavier blade that hits like a classic two-handed sword with Blood element damage, giving it an edge against foes weak to that element. Its power comes from strong single strikes and wide arcs that help control space against enemies. While slower than lighter weapons, its reach and elemental bonus make it a solid pick for players who like heavy but satisfying blows, especially as its unique weapon ability closes the distance on enemies and deals a flashy, potentially final blow.
