Rumor: The Last of Us Part II To be Released In 2019

Former IGN editor, Alanah Pearce claims in a series of now deleted tweets that The Last of Us Part II is scheduled to release sometime this year.

Her claim started when Sony released a ‘trailer recently called “coming attractions for 2019” and Last of Us Part II is included in the video.

Check the Coming Attractions 2019 video down below:

Coming Attractions should be taken as it was meant to be, a teaser trailer, while it shows The Last of Us 2 and Death Stranding this by no means is a confirmation of a release sometime this year, Kojima loves demos, so maybe we’ll receive a demo sometime this year, while nearly 6 years ago a demo for The Last of Us was released so Naughty Dog is very likely to follow that formula.

As with all rumours, until it’s confirmed by Sony or the developer, you have to take it with a pinch of salt. However, Alanah Pearce in the past has been known to tweet breaking news before it’s in the public domain. And she would have also developed close relationships with major developers having been an editor at IGN for 3 years.

It’s really hard to guess, by a teaser and a rumor, Coming Attractions should be taken as it was meant to be, a teaser trailer, while it shows The Last of Us 2 and Death Stranding this by no means is a confirmation of a release sometime this year, Kojima loves demos, so maybe we’ll receive a demo sometime this year, but is also worth to note that The Last of Us 2 and Death Stranding seem very far advanced at the development stage and some insiders even claim that they will release for the current generation of consoles.

Like all rumors this should be taken with a pinch of salt, but I’ll believe Alanah Pearce’s claims because it makes me happy, keep it tuned to Gaming Instincts as we will give you updates about The Last of Us 2 and its latest rumors.
