The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake Release Window Seemingly Revealed

According to The Verge’s Tom Warren who cites anonymous sources, the highly rumored remake for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will launch sometime in late Spring or early Summer. It’s worth noting these are just claims and should be taken with a grain of salt. The leaks claim the title will use the original game’s codebase as well as the Unreal Engine 5. It was allegedly aiming for an early 2025 release date but those plans have likely changed.

According to Xbox head Phil Spencer during the past court case between Microsoft and the Federal Trade Commission regarding Microsoft’s proposed Activision Blizzard acquisition,  The Elder Scrolls 6 is over five years away from release, and specific platforms for the game are still undecided. Years ago, director Todd Howard announced that the game was still in its design phase, but it’s currently unknown if active development on the game has begun.Regarding the game’s release, Spencer said:“It’s many years away, but it’s a game we have announced we would begin working on,” .
