Tencent Becomes Majority Stakeholder of Kuro Games

Kuro Games has announced in a recent internal memo that Tencent has acquired an additional 37 percent of its shares. It now holds 51.4 percent, making it the majority stakeholder. Kuro Games claimed that while Tencent now holds more shares, they will maintain the independent strategy operations. It also claims that this will make the company have a more stable environment. Kuro Games develops Wuthering Waves, which will launch on January 2, 2025 on PlayStation 5 alongside the game’s 2.0 update.
