Tekken 8 Receives Backlash for Microtransactions and New Battle Pass

Bandai Namco‘s latest fighting game, Tekken 8, has been receiving some backlash lately due to the game’s recent decision to introduce a Battle Pass. This follows the publisher’s decision to add an in-game microtransactions store to the game only after the game’s release and reviews. This backlash has since affected the game’s Steam reviews, which at the time of writing, currently has a mixed rating for its recent reviews, with most of the recent reviews being negative. Tekken 8 is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. The latest downloadable content character Eddy Gordo will launch on April 4.
