Paradox Interactive seems busy these days with two new installments from Vampire: The Masquerade series, but there are much going on in the company, regarding today’s new announcement. The behind Surviving Mars revealed a new entry to the franchise called Surviving: The Aftermath.

According to the game’s announcement teaser, which features nothing except its official logo, more news and details on Surviving: The Aftermath will be coming on October 19 at PDXCON 2019. For now, the only thing we know is that the game is set to be launched later next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, but it seems an early access version will come around soon, regarding the availability of pre-purchase on Epic Games Store and Xbox Game Preview as of now.

Surviving Mars is a single-player city-building simulation game that was launched earlier in 2018. Based on real-world information of Mars, player takes the helm for building the first human civilization on Mars. You have to manage and control vital resources such as food, water and oxygen in order to make it out alive to the end.

Going over the reviews, Surviving Mars received mostly positive feedback from media, describing it as a worthy experience despite some issues in graphics and pace of the game.

As the name implies for Surviving: The Aftermath, it seems this time around we are going to deal with a struggling situation after natural disasters, however, it remains as a mystery whether the game will be set on Earth or another planet once again.

PDXCON will be kicking-off on October 18 with noticeable updates on all of Paradox Interactive’s under-development projects, including Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, Empire of Sin and Surviving: The Aftermath. It’s no surprise if more new titles get revealed by the publisher within the remaining days ahead until the beginning of the event.
