Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake Still Has “Some Time Left”

According to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, the “previously announced AAA game based on a major license” that Saber Interactive will retain following its separation from Embracer Group is likely the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – Remake. Additionally, in a recent call, Embracer Group CEO Lars Wingefors stated that said licensed AAA project “needs some deep love and respect,” and that it will be “some time left until that is released.” Whether or not the AAA project is in fact the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – Remake is unknown. When asked, Wingefors refused to comment further on the subject. The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake was announced back in September 2021 and had been in development by Aspyr for three years for PS5 and PC. It was initially slated to be released by the end of 2022 but was delayed indefinitely and Saber Interactive took over the project.
