Spitlings – Arcade Co-Op Time Waster now on Stadia

Gamers looking for a fun time-waster to play alone or with friends might want to check out Spitlings, a co-op multiplayer arcade-style game from HandyGames for Google Stadia.

Developed by Massive Miniteam, a game studio based in Cologne, Germany, Spitlings offers “scream-at-your-friends” multiplayer fun, in a challenging and exciting take on hardcore arcade classics. Players take control of a Spitling, a delightful and charming rectangular creature with teeth it can spit, and also use to jump. The goal of the game is to clear each level of bubbles, which is accomplished by spitting on them to pop them—hence the name Spitlings.

Each level presents a unique challenge, and can be played solo or with up to three friends (for a total of four), however there is one catch—if a single player fails, all players fail and must start over. Cute but yet hardcore, Spitlings contains over a hundred levels to ensure players never run out of challenges. As they play, gamers will unlock new music tracks, new characters to play as, and new visual themes for certain levels.

As Google opens the gates to their highly anticipated gaming service Stadia, HandyGames joins the party with a blast of a game: Spitlings, the coop multiplayer arcade fun, will celebrate its first release on the new platform. Stadia, a cloud-based gaming platform, allows players to instantly experience games directly on their devices, without an additional console.

Spitlings contains the following features:

  • Classic hardcore gameplay with modern design sensibility.
  • Action-packed, highly engaging, scream-at-your-friends multiplayer fun.
  • If one fails, all restart: Experience co-op with all the outrage of versus play.
  • A 100+ level Story Mode with cutscene animations.
  • Beat the clock to unlock 30+ themes and characters.
  • Play solo or with up to 3 friends in co-op multiplayer.

Founded in 2017, Germany-based Massive Miniteam is an experienced group of game developers and designers who have worked on games that have seen release on Steam, PS4/PSVR, Xbox One, iOS, Android, Vive, Oculus Rift and Gear VR.
