Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Sora Considered for Super Smash Bros Ultimate

According to reports, former Game Informer Senior Editor Imran Khan revealed during the Kinda Funny Gamescast that Nintendo was planning to add Sora from the Kingdom Hearts franchise to Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Disney Japan didn’t agreed on the terms with Nintendo and it remains to be seen if the character has a chance to be featured in the popular crossover game, according to Imra Kahn is not likely that Disney change its mind.

Nintendo wanted to bring Sora to the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Fight Pass, the DLC counts with Joker from the Persona series, the Byleth from the Dragon Quest series, and Banjo & Kazooie. With two more fighters on the way, there’s always another battle on the horizon.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate has received some critic from fans for having too much characters from the Fire Emblem series. Recently the game’s Director Masahiro Sakurai while talking with Famitsu (Credits to Siliconera)has agreed with fans. Sakurai explains that he don’t choose the fighter based on his own preference. “That’s for Nintendo to bring in”.

It seems that Nintendo anticipated that adding Byleth was a little too much for some fans who paid for the Fight Pass just to see another character from Fire Emblem being added. When Sakurai introduced Byleth he said “this time around, we brought the experience of immediately playing as the protagonist of a game that people currently play. At the starting point of its production, we experimented by working with a title that was in development.”

Going back to the original release of Super Smash Bros, the game featured long time classics from Nintendo, Donkey Kong, Mario, Fox, Yoshi, Kirby, Pikachu and Link without the secret characters. Later games releases saw the introduction of more iconic characters from Cloud, to Snake. It’s understandable that some fans are somewhat anxious.
