In a recent episode of Kinda Funny Games podcast, Imran Khan suggested that Sony’s marketing team has found a way to beat Xbox for the next-gen of consoles, Sony will tell players that with  ‘PlayStation Advantage’ and ‘Console Exclusive’ PlayStation 5 is the best decision for next-gen gaming.

“There isn’t a major third party out there Sony failed to approach asking what kind of deals they could work out. Some had content, some had games, some had content and games. It is not like Microsoft was not willing to offer, they just didn’t want to pay the asking price, because Sony approached with pretty high numbers in the first place.

“That ‘PlayStation Advantage’ branding and ‘Console Exclusive’ wording are both going to get a lot of use in the next few years.”

Is evident that Xbox decided to hand buyers the most powerful gaming console, at least on paper, PlayStation, on the other hand, is betting on the developers, Sony is betting that it’s the unique creation of PlayStation Studios and it’s third-party partners that will make PlayStation 5 the best selling next-gen console.

Kinda Funny Games’ Imran Khan has also been very active on the ResetEra forums, he is also affirming that Sony secured a “timed-exclusive” as one of PlayStation Advantage and a Console Exclusive.

“There are things you will be shocked to find out that Sony is moneyhatting, [that] they are locking up for timed exclusivity. Like, ‘wow, that is a game that you’re choosing?’ Not because it’s bad, but because it’s huge.

“I am interested to see what this conversation is going to be in a couple of months, because there are games that are widely accepted as multi-platform that Sony is locking up for a little while.”
