In a recent investor Q&A session, Bloober Team revealed that development on the remake of the original Silent Hill has begun. The developer also revealed that one of its teams in the studio is currently working on five different projects in the early stages, with one major project and four minor ones. “We have two first party production teams, one of which is working on the Silent Hill 1 project and the other has started work on the next project,” said the studio in response. “As part of the second party, there are currently 5 projects.” The developer’s latest release, Cronos: The New Dawn, launched on September 5 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. Cronos: The New Dawn “thrusts players into the decaying district of New Dawn, inspired by real-life Nowa Huta. You play as a Traveller, an agent of the mysterious Collective.”
Silent Hill 1 details via GOG Wishlist:
Silent Hill is the first installment in the Silent Hill series of psychological survival horror video games. Unlike earlier survival horror games that focused on protagonists with combat training, the main character Harry Mason is an average man. The gameplay consists of combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving. The controller vibration is used to indicate Harry’s heartbeat and will vibrate on low health. The player must regularly enter an inventory screen to check Harry’s health, use items, and equip different weapons.
