According to Hamren, the Xbox Series S added the highest percentage of new players for any Xbox console at launch. The next-gen console also played 3,594 different games, spanning the four generations of Xbox consoles, also setting a record for the most games ever played during an Xbox console launch.

The Xbox brand also got the support of Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as 70 percent of Series X|S consoles are attached to new and existing members.

Hamren also affirms that the most successful debut is also thanks to the development partners who release more than 40 new and optimized games for Xbox Series X|S. The executive also addressed the sensitive issue of the units being shipped to retailers:

We know that not everyone was able to get an Xbox Series X|S immediately and are working tirelessly with our partners around the world to bring as many new consoles to as many of you as possible over time and encourage you to check in with your local retailers directly for more details on availability in your market.

Xbox Series X is now available around the world, the console features up to 120 frames per second on selected games, the console features faster loading times, richer, more dynamic worlds. Xbox Series S is also capable of delivering next-generation performance at an affordable price. Both consoles are best when matched to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions that include Xbox’s cloud gaming and EA Play.
