Sea of Thieves gets ‘Festival of the Damned’ event on Halloween

Even pirates get spooky sometimes, are you ready for the halloween “Festival of the Damned” in Sea of Thieves? We can see in the trailer some new time-limited cosmetics, new halloween weapons and clothing.

The game is available right now for Xbox One and PC.

Check out the Trailer:

Every couple of weeks, Rare releases a new adventure for Sea of Thieves. Halloween is right around the corner and the “Festival of the Damned” is upon us. It’s unclear what happens during the event, but it seems like pirates everywhere will have to tackle a spooky threat from beneath the waves. Skeletons will probably be involved somehow. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know more.

Festival of the Damned starts on October 31, and should go on for two weeks if the previous “Blige Rat” adventures are any indication. However, considering that this adventure seems to be getting a lot of attention, it may go on for longer. As always, you’ll have to play it in order to unlock time-limited cosmetics. A lot of Halloween-themed weapons and clothing are up for grabs.

Sea of Thieves is currently available for $59.99 through various retailers, but it’s free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. The title runs at native 4K resolution on Xbox One X. The game started off as a rather barebones experience when it first launch, but due to excellent post-launch support, Rare has managed to turn it around.
