Rumor: PS5 Specs Leaked 8-Core Ryzen, Navi 10 Lite GPU

A Twitter user got his hands into the source code for AMD’s Custom Silicon chip who is now rumored to be used in the PlayStation 5, “2G16002CE8JA2_32/10/10_13E” this source code has been deciphered by twitter and reddit users and we got now plenty of information about this new technology of AMD.

If the leaked source code turns out to be the chip to be used by Sony the PS5 will feature a eight core CPU, AMD Zen Architecture and Navi 10 Lite GPU

What lead fans and us to think this chip will be used in the PS5 it’s the fact that it’s very similar to the one used by the PS4.

2G16002CE8JA2_32/10/10_13E9 Decode (Update)
2 = ES1
1600 = Sony Custom SoC (PS5?)
2C = TDP
E = Package
8 = 8C
J = Cache Size
A2 = A2 Stepping (?)
32 = 3.2Ghz (Boost)
10 = 1.0Ghz (Base)
10 = iGPU Clock? (1Ghz?)
13E9 = PCI-ID : Navi 10LITE (GFX1000/1001).

Komachi confirmed through Twitter that Sony is once again going to use SoC (system on a chip) for PS5. That’s not all as other information like the processing speed and more were revealed through this source code.

We’re yet to know whether these eight cores for CPU will have simultaneous multithreading or not. However, all this information tells us that PS5 will be a step up over the current PS4 and PS4 Pro which uses Jaguar Cores. Previous rumors have assured us that PS5 will be able to run games at 4K resolution with stable 60 FPS.
