During the recent State of Play livestream, Grasshopper Manufacture announced the action game ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN. It will launch sometime in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, and Microsoft Store. It is the first new IP from the studio in five years. It will feature “bloody action” and a range of different weapons.

The main feature of this game is its exhilarating style of “Bloody Action.” Swap between a wide range of different weapons, destroy your enemies, unleash wave after wave of splattering blood, and experience unmatched levels of violence and hyper-stimulating action.

About five seconds away from dying, our hero Romeo Stargazer becomes “Dead Man”, a dude stuck between life and death who ends up hunting space-time’s most wanted fugitives through multiple universes in this all-new title from Grasshopper Manufacture—its first new intellectual property in years!
Our hero, Romeo Stargazer, is an FBI Space-Time special agent in a spiffy mask and garb called the “Dead Gear.” After the space-time continuum is shattered by a time paradox generated by a genius scientist just kinda screwing around, Romeo must hunt down the most-wanted fugitives in the universe as a man stuck between life and death, simultaneously both living and dead: “Dead Man”!
Romeo swaps between guns and swords, using his enemies’ own power against them to absolutely annihilate the evil hordes in this peak example of full-on “bloody action,” featuring ridiculously clever level design and white-hot battles, cathartic enough to collapse the universe itself!
Romeo’s search for these space-time fugitives ends up intertwining with his search for his suddenly missing girlfriend, the mysterious Juliet… You’ll just have to play the game to see how and if these mysteries turn out, but after all is said and done (and dead), will Romeo be able to see the tears of time?!
