Respawn is Reportedly Working on a Mandalorian Star Wars Game

According to a recent report from Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, Respawn’s rumored single player game is a Mandalorian game. The game will be a FPS where players control a bounty hunter. It will also reportedly be set “during the time when the Galactic Empire is dominating across the galaxy.” The game will also see players control the Mandalorian to collect bounties with “mobility” and “style” being guiding principles. According to the report, the Mandalorian’s jetpack will contribute greatly to mobility in the game. It will allow players to use moves such as jumping, boost sliding, dashing, and more. The site’s sources also claim that it will be fast paced, and will feature a variety of weapons. This includes “a wrist rocket, grapple hook, a visor for tagging enemies and bounties, and more.”

Additionally, according to the report the game will not be an open world game. It will instead “have linear levels taking place on a variety of different planets in the Star Wars universe.” Lastly, the report also claims that the game’s release is “still a year or two away, at the very least.” It’s worth noting these claims have yet to be confirmed by Respawn. The latest title in the franchise Star Wars Outlaws, will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC sometime this year.
