Release date trailer for 70’s Moon Base Horror game Routine

Release date trailer for 70’s Moon Base Horror game Routine

Lunar Software’s Routine has been a project that many have been sitting idly by waiting for updates on after its reveal more than three years ago. The developer became pretty quiet over the years, sticking to promises that the game was coming and wasn’t cancelled, but there wasn’t much else to go on. Today, out of freakin’ no where, Lunar has announced Routine‘s long-awaited release date: March 2017.

Routine is a 70’s influenced low-fi sci-fi horror game set on a Moon base where creepy stuff goes down. The game has a striking visual style, with prominent color tones and a solid aesthetic. I have no clue what’s happening, and I’d like to keep it that way. Routine is incredibly mysterious, and after Alien: Isolation, I could use another solid sci-fi horror game influenced by 70s films and tech.

“If you follow us on twitter, you may have noticed that we were hinting towards a late 2016 release,” the studio said in its first update since December 2015. “We have been working like crazy to try and hit that mark without compromising the quality of the game and at this rate, we would be releasing way too close to the Steam Christmas Sales (which would be devastating for us). In the end we felt like it was best to just not rush things at this final hurdle.”
