Rainbow Six Siege Gets Solid Snake As A New Operator

Ubisoft has revealed that Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, voiced by David Hayter, will be added to Rainbow Six Siege as a new operator. He will serve as an Attacker and will be available at the start of the upcoming season, Operation Silent Hunt, which launches March 3. Solid Snake will be a permanent addition across all game modes. A video showcasing his abilities and weapons was also released. Year 11 Season 1 will also introduce a new 4v4 infiltration mode and additional skins.

Creative director Joshua Mills commented on the announcement:

“We’re excited to bring the world of Metal Gear Solid series into Rainbow Six Siege with Season 1’s new Redacted event, a limited‑time 4v4 infiltration mode where Snake and Zero lead a team of elite operators to recover stolen data. Players will also discover exclusive skins such as Jackal as Gray Fox and Ash as Meryl, and we’re thrilled to have David Hayter lend his iconic voice to Snake’s in‑game cues. The team also went a step further with ‘Last Assignment’, a new mission for Dual Front designed as a special nod to long‑time Metal Gear Solid series fans.”

The game’s details:

With a thriving professional eSports scene and a community of over 60 million registered players, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege puts players in the middle of a fast-paced, ever-evolving multiplayer experience grounded in the selection of unique operators.

Using the right mix of tactics and destruction, Rainbow Six teams engage their enemies in sieges, where both sides have exclusive skills and gadgets at their disposal. Defenders prepare by transforming the environments around them into modern strongholds, while attackers use recon drones to gain intel for carefully planning their assault. Creativity and competition are at the heart of this game.

With access to dozens of operators, be the hero and choose exactly how you want to approach each challenge you encounter. Through the constant addition of new operators and maps that add to the depth of both strategy and combat, the unpredictability of each round of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege sets a new bar for intensity and competition in gaming.
