Boss Key’s New Game is Radical Heights, Coming to Steam Early Access

Boss Key’s New Game is Radical Heights, Coming to Steam Early Access

It was announced today by Boss Key Productions that their upcoming Free-to-play Battle Royale game, Radical Heights, will be releasing on Steam Early Access tomorrow April 10th.

Check out the reveal gameplay trailer of Radical Heights, featuring some gameplay footage:

“About Radical Heights

Radical Heights is the FREE 100-player PVP scavenger hunt survival shooter. Partake in high-stakes battle royale gunplay in a sunny SoCal dome as you drive-by on a BMX bike or stalk prey from the shadows in search for weapons and prizes… but also CASH that you can take with you – win or lose!

Whether you spend that cash on righteous customization in your personal prize room or decide to take it with you to purchase weapons early in the next game — building a wealth of cash is as important as taking down the competition in this irreverent 80s-themed action game show where everyone wants to be rich and famous.”

Why Early Access?

“Early Access is an incredible opportunity for us to get the core foundation of the game into players’ hands and start building a community almost immediately. At Boss Key, we have some really unique twists we want to put in the Battle Royale genre, and launching into Early Access allows for us to share those high level ideas with our community quickly. We want to work with our fans to build Radical Heights into the ridiculous sandbox of fun we want it to be. It’s all about community engagement, and once we launch, this game is no longer our game, but our community’s game, and we are ready to mold it together.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current plan is to be in Early Access for about a year. This gives us time to solidify the foundation of the game with our community, build out additional features, and develop a solid understanding of what works, what doesn’t, and flesh out a full release content plan based on what we think is right for the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our team has a high-level vision for where we want Radical Heights to be by the time we leave Early Access and a solid road map for what new content we will drop throughout. Our community can expect new weapons, gadgets, customization, vehicles, game show events, game modes, and eventually a Daily/Weekly Challenges system! We will continue to push and identify features that the community thinks is best and fits within our development vision.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Radical Heights is a work in progress; we are launching in a state that we have branded ‘X-Treme” Early Access. The core gameplay experience is complete. However, players should expect to experience placeholder assets in the world including; models, audio, animation, and even entire buildings. We are actively working on improving performance and bringing the level of polish up across the entire experience.”
