Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness is inching closer to its September release date, and NIS America has posted a new English trailer. The trailer gives newcomers a good overview of the world of Psycho-Pass, and a brief rundown of how the world is run, and the purpose of the Sibyl System.

The System keeps all of its citizens in check, and identifies latent criminals by analyzing the state of their mental health. Latent criminals will then be brought to justice by the police, who wield special guns called Dominators. Psycho-Pass is set in sci-fi dystopian universe where all of its citizens have their lives and career paths decided for them by the Sibyl System.

Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness is due out both physically and digitally for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on September 16 in North America and September 13 in Europe.

Check out the Trailer:

“The game takes place in a Japan being dictated by an artificial intelligence that can determine a person’s ideal place in society. It’s called the Sibyl System and it can even determine someone’s criminal capacity therefore potentially placing someone behind bars before they’ve even broken the law. Choose between two detectives in this crime novel that will have you making difficult choices in an effort to solve cases and protect your innocence. Depending on how it plays out, you may discover one of the game’s multiple endings quicker than expected.”
