Project xCloud Details Revealed at GDC 2019

At Game Developers Conference 2019 Microsoft went to reveal some neat features and details about what it could be the future of the Xbox Division of Microsoft.

Thanks to Easy Allies’s Daniel Bloodworth, Windows Central’s Russel Holly and Twinfinite for the reports we got details who weren’t expected from Microsoft as we were hoping information from Project xCloud to be fully revealed at this year’s E3.

Microsoft hosted a panel in which they talk about how developers will be able to implement xCloud functionality in their games, Microsoft promises that it will be very easy for all kind of games to be properly supported. Project xCloud it’s Microsoft’s attempt to reach gamers around the globe, after subscribing to the service players will be able to stream games into any platform they use, basically anything with a screen and network connectivity is expected to be good enough to start playing.

The decision taken by Xbox to offer custom on screen buttons will make things a bit easier for the casual gamer who don’t want any extra gadget than its smartphone to play on the go. This could be fundamental because the most important part of any game it’s being able to play it comfortably. I’m also interested to learn how will make smaller text and menu screen more legible on a small screen but this was undisclosed by Microsoft for the moment.

Maybe Microsoft revealed some of this details to spoil all the attention Google Stadia is currently getting after its announce a couple of days ago. We will definitely hear more from Project xCloud in June at E3 2019 so keep it tuned to Gaming Instincts for all the updates from Microsoft and Xbox.
